Traditionally, maritime navigation heavily relied on the Global Positioning System (GPS), which often fails to deliver in remote areas and underwater.
To improve the maritime navigation capabilities of its fleet, the Federal Government sought to upgrade its vessels' navigation systems. The primary challenge was navigating through remote areas with weak or non-existent GPS signals, which had previously led to delays and inefficient operations. Maritime Government implemented the Turium Algoreus Edge AI in their vessels' navigation systems which integrates data from acoustic sensors that measure depth, currents, and ship velocity relative to the ocean bottom.
